I am interested in the gap between technologies and humanity life.

New technologies should give us a wonderful future, but some new technologies failed.

Why some interactive media project looks great but some looks stupid? I think there are some initial problems between new-thch and real human needs.

For example, based on the Human-‐Centered concept, every fields all wants to put the smart devices into the house, and an important question shows up: when the ICT technology makes the ubiquitous computing environment come true, what kind of “humanity” space we need? The ICT technologies require more advance technique, smaller components, faster system, and wider range services, but the goal of humanity life are safety, health, convenient, and comfortable. Obviously, there could be a lot of conflicting design in a smart house. For example, for the safety propose, we put lots of sensors and detectors into the house, but it might effects the privacy of the user; we make the house fill with LCD display that we can always aware the information and control the data of the house, but it might effects our living health with these electronic equipments.

  1. Analyze a selection of case studies you consider successful and unsuccessful de define a criteria and point of engagement. Its fine to start with a catalog of work and a rigorous analysis of its successes and failures. Second in line will be to trace the generatives of a condition you consider successful, the emergence/intention of an idea and its evolutionary path.
